I'm Andrew Fisher, founder of Fisher Corporate Law. I've spent more than two decades representing founders, executives, investors, and growth-stage companies, first at a premier New York firm, then at Raleigh's largest business and corporate law firm, and since 2019 at Fisher Corporate Law.

My practice sits at the intersection of corporate, transactional, and securities work. I serve as outside general counsel to venture-backed startups and established private companies, lead priced equity financings and SAFE rounds, design and administer equity compensation programs, negotiate sophisticated commercial agreements and strategic partnerships, and advise boards and executives on the structural questions that matter most: how to incorporate, how to raise capital, how to structure customer relationships, how to compensate and retain key people, how to acquire and divest, and how to plan for an exit.

I also bring something most corporate lawyers don't: operator experience. Alongside my legal career I've founded and run several companies of my own, including a legaltech SaaS business, a custom closet design firm, and a retail bakery. That background shapes how I practice. I understand cap tables from the inside, know what it feels like to negotiate a term sheet when your company's future depends on it, and recognize that good legal advice has to work in the real world.

My clients range from seed-stage founders to mid-market operating companies, and I scale my approach and fee structure to fit. Every engagement is priced transparently and staffed personally by me. I'm based in Durham, licensed in North Carolina, New York, and New Jersey, and work with clients across the country.
